On this page
Kling's API costs $0.154/s (checked Nov 5, 2026) for Kling 4.0 at 720p with no input video, and $0.126/s (checked Nov 5, 2026) for Kling 3.0 at 720p with audio. These dollar figures are derived from Kling's published units per second and its prepaid pack prices. Kling's consumer plan prices are not published in a form we could verify, so none are shown.
How Kling bills the API
Kling's API page lists a number of units per second for each model, resolution and audio setting, and sells units in prepaid packs. The dollar price per second is units per second times the price per unit, so every Kling dollar price on this site is derived. The packs:
- General packs (Kling 3.0 and earlier, not valid for 4.0): $700 buys 5,000 units, which is $0.14 per unit. Larger packs, $3,780 for 30,000 units and up, cost $0.126 per unit.
- Flagship packs (Kling 4.0 and 4.0 Flash only): $500 buys 3,250 units, which is about $0.1538 per unit. $2,000 buys 13,135 units (about $0.1523) and $8,000 buys 53,640 (about $0.1491).
- A $9 trial pack of 64 units exists for first purchases, valid 30 days.
Units expire after 180 days and do not roll over. The smallest pack you can buy is hundreds of dollars, so the API is a commitment, not a pay-as-you-go card. The tracker uses $0.14 per unit for 3.0 and $0.1538 for 4.0.

Four rules explain most of the table:
- Audio adds 50% on Kling 3.0. At 720p the cost goes from 0.6 to 0.9 units per second, which is $0.084/s (checked Nov 5, 2026) silent against $0.126/s (checked Nov 5, 2026) with audio.
- Kling 4.0 has native audio and no toggle. Its listed price already includes sound.
- 1080p costs 1.33 to 1.5 times 720p. 4K on 3.0 is $0.42/s (checked Nov 5, 2026), about five times the 720p silent price.
- Input video is billed twice. For Kling 4.0 with an input video you pay for the input seconds plus the output seconds, even though the per-second rate falls to $0.0923/s (checked Nov 5, 2026). A 5-second edit of a 5-second source is billed as 10 seconds.
Kling 4.0 Flash is the cheaper 4.0 tier at $0.0923/s (checked Nov 5, 2026) for 720p.
Kling app plans
Kling's membership page, kling.ai/app/membership/membership-plan, lists four plans with monthly credits. The monthly price on the page is the list price; the page also shows a lower first-month promo and a lower renewal price, noted per plan in the data.
| Plan | Per month | Per month, annual | Credits / month | Credit value | Limits | Source | Checked |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kling (app) Standard | $10.00 | $6.60 | 660 | $0.0152 | - | source | Nov 5, 2026 |
| Kling (app) Pro | $37.00 | $24.42 | 3,000 | $0.0123 | - | source | Nov 5, 2026 |
| Kling (app) Premier | $207.00 | $136.67 | 18,000 | $0.0115 | - | source | Nov 5, 2026 |
| Kling (app) Ultra+ | $619.00 | $408.58 | 57,000 | $0.0109 | - | source | Nov 5, 2026 |
Kling does not show credits per video on the public page, so the cost of one clip cannot be computed for the app. You can compare plans only by credit value (price divided by monthly credits). Premier shows the default 18,000-credit tier. The credits guide shows the formula.

Runway's API sells Kling 4.0 at 20% off through 2026-11-30 (UTC), and the app has 25% off Kling 4.0 until 2026-11-30. After that, list price applies from 2026-12-01. OpenArt had 50% off Kling 4.0 for its Wonder and Pro plans until 2026-11-20. These are promos with end dates, so do not budget on them past those dates. See Kling vs Runway price.
Worked example: one 8-second clip
For Kling 4.0 at 720p, 8 s times $0.154/s is about $1.23. At 1080p, 8 s times $0.231/s is about $1.85. For Kling 3.0 at 720p with audio it is about $1.01. The per-second breakdown by resolution is in Kling cost per second.
Worked example: a 30-second finished video
Four 8-second clips make 32 seconds. At an assumed 50% keeper rate you generate eight, 64 seconds of output. On Kling 3.0 at 720p with audio that is about $8.06, and on Kling 4.0 at 720p about $9.84. Use your own keeper rate in the calculator. Prepaid packs mean you pay up front for units you may not use within 180 days.
API pack or reseller?
A direct API pack makes sense once you can spend hundreds of dollars in six months. For smaller work, fal.ai charges the same per-second as Kling for 3.0 ($0.126/s (checked Nov 5, 2026) Standard with audio), with no pack to buy. Runway and Luma bundle Kling with other models inside a subscription.
Verdict
Pick the Kling API pack if you will spend several hundred dollars within 180 days and want 4.0 at its lowest unit price. Pick fal.ai for Kling 3.0 if you want to pay per second with no commitment. Pick Runway or Luma if Kling is one of several models you use, and check the promo end dates first. Do not rely on Kling app plan numbers from third-party guides.
